About Liz
Allow Me to Introduce Myself
I have worked in a variety of clinical settings over the past 25 years since my passion for social work began as a recreational therapist for children with disabilities in college. I am a mother of two teenagers and a puppy who just turned one. My husband and I are quickly realizing that Duke, our puppy, is now the third teenager of the house. Outside of work I find myself driving my kids to various activities, on a yoga mat, on a long walk with Duke, volunteering, or planning the next family travel adventure.

I'm a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator
Brené Brown’s research has fundamentally affected the way that I show up as mom, friend, activist, and partner. Her research has been a significant part of my practice supporting clients in their courageous process of vulnerability and building shame resilience. In the summer of 2019 I was so honored to attend the in-person training to become a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator.

I spent 15 years working as a high school social worker in Elmhurst Illinois. I have such gratitude for the foundation that experience gave me supporting students and their families to help increase their ‘school success’ whatever that meant for that particular student. I opened my private practice in 2015 specializing in women’s health, offering a holistic approach for clients to establish safety, trust and ultimate repair.
